Jan Marek, Technical & Sales Director, INOTEX Ltd. (CZ)
Graduated from Institute of Chemical Technology Prague - Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology (1975 MSc, 1988 PhD) spend the whole professional career with textile wet processing (textile chemistry, finishing technology & textile material functionalization, biotechnology) research and innovations (Textile Finishing Res. Inst. since 1975-1992). Since 1992 Technical and Sales Director of INOTEX Ltd. Dvur Kralove (CZ) - small private innovation and technology transfer company specialised in wet processing of textiles, supporting implementation of customised R&D results into the industrial practice by use of own small lot production capacities (speciality (bio)chemicals, low batch finishing and coating of textiles). Research of new (bio)chemistry and technology of added value functional textiles, sustainable development of cleaner production, new waste-less (bio)treatments of natural renewable (fibrous) sources, shaping TC towards CE. Experienced in project coordination (national, international).
Since 2005 co-chair of the “BioTEX” R&D roadmap - a joint interdisciplinary program on the textile biotech between ETP FT/EURATEX and EuropaBIO/SusChem. Member of ETP FTC Theme III. EURATEX – member of Innovation Committee (since 2021). Member of TEXTRANET Executive Council (2010-2019). Member of the Regional (RiS3) Sci and Res. Council (since 2019). Vicepresident of CTPT (CZ Technol. Platform Textiles). President of the Czech Society of Textile Chemists and Colourists (since 2008), Vicepresident of IFATCC (since 2012-2020; 2015-2018 president). Member of ETP FTC Board (since 2023). AATCC member.
