đ± Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) â Guidelines for the Textile Sector đ±
On 24 November 2025, we hosted an online webinar dedicated to the newly adopted European Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) directive for textiles. The event aimed to support textile producers, designers, SMEs, universities, and research institutes in navigating the upcoming regulatory changes and understanding their practical implications.
The session was moderated by Lena-Marie Vikingsdotter Jensen (Science Park BorÄs), who, together with guest speakers Pasquale Campanile and Enrico Venturini, provided a comprehensive overview of:
- The EPR concept and regulatory objectives
- Key obligations, definitions, and timelines within the new directive
- The role and responsibilities of âproducersâ under the legislation
- Insights from the Italian EPR system as a case study
- Good practices and industry perspectives
- Results from a regional SWOT exercise connected to ongoing initiatives in BorÄs
The webinar concluded with a Q&A session, during which participants engaged in a productive dialogue on implementation strategies and support needs.
We thank all attendees for their participation and valuable input.
