🌍✨ TEX-BREIN LEARNING EXPEDITION: May 6-7, 2025, PRATO (IT)
Conclusions
As part of the TEX-BREIN project, we carried out our first Learning Expedition to Prato, Italy. It was a unique opportunity to learn about one of the most innovative Textile Regions in Europe.
The mission was hosted and directly organized by Next Technology Tecnotessile (NTT) and the Tuscan Fashion Cluster (OTIR).
Two textile entrepreneurs representing SMEs from each of the 6 regions implementing the TEX- BREIN project were invited to participate in the mission. Participants received full financial support related to the trip.
Entrepreneurs and innovation stakeholders met in Prato to gain insights into best practices in the field of closed-loop textiles, connect with local innovators and build a stronger, greener future for the EU textile sector.
The mission program included:
- Presentation of the activities of Next Technology Tecnotessile (NTT) and the Tuscan Fashion Cluster (OTIR)
- Presentation of a model cooperation in research and development in support of the Prato Textile Region - PRISMA (PRato Industrial SMart Accelerator)
- Meeting with representatives of the Prato Municipality
- Visits to entrepreneurs: Dell'Orco e Villani, Filati Omega, GoriTex, Trafi Creatività Tessile srl
- Networking session with representatives of the Fashion Cluster (OTIR) - selected in advance, according to the business profile of the companies participating in the mission.
